Kayaking Lake Ontario

Spent a couple of hours kayaking the early spring waters of Lake Ontario on 02 April.  The air temp was 38F and the water temp was a couple degrees colder at 36F.  But the sun was out and the cliffed and overhanging shores of Robert Wehle State Park were strewn with icicles.

The water was so crystal clear that day, that I would constantly maneuver to avoid rocks that were refracting through waves three feet down.

All in all, it was a great day to get and paddle.  At the southern tip of the park, because it was pretty calm, I was able to easily to land on the flat rock croppings without damaging gear.

At my turn around point I was able to safely land on one of the rock croppings.
